Context

Your.Rentals is a SaaS scaleup aimed at simplifying the work of property managers for short term rentals. The cleaning feature was one of the biggest new features launched in 2025. Johanna's work was creating a mobile experience of an already existing flow as well as doing the end-to-end design of a feature called "manual tasks".

Automating the process of contacting cleaners with information regarding regular and irregular cleaning tasks. Supporting property managers in understanding when a property is guest ready.

Design

Based on research and usability testing of the MVP version of the product, improvements in naming conventions, flow, and visual hierarchy were made.

The new feature of manual cleaning tasks, which are not automatically created with a booking, was designed with input from usability testing of the MVP version of the product together with user interviews. We mapped out the context and narrowed down the use case to: internal tasks and extra tasks done by cleaner. Adjustment to the manual tasks included changing the timing options and limiting it to only apply to one listing (since tasks were often made for a specific property). Further design changes related to distinguishing between manual and automatic tasks.
